Kickstart your holidays with some artistic flair from renowned Italian sculptor and artist Edoardo Tresoldi. Inspired by the grandeur of Baroque and Neoclassical architecture, his wire mesh creation Etherea – previously shown at Coachella – is now on display at Wynn Macau’s Lakeside Promenade, standing 10 metres tall and accompanied by a display of captivating light effects as night falls. Whilst by the promenade, be sure to also visit Dancing Butterflies and Blooming Wonders, a series of light installations depicting fluttering butterflies and blooming flowers created as result of the hotel’s partnership with the city’s annual Light Up Macao 2023 event. Of course, you’ll also find festive menus at the Lakeside Trattoria, Café Esplanada and Buns and Bubbles.

Grand Lisboa Palace

What’s Christmas without Santa? At Grand Lisboa Palace, you can enjoy full Santa Claus parades as well as dance performances, LED drum concerts and string quartet sessions between December 20 and 26. The numerous shows run every day during that period and take place at various locations across the establishment throughout the day, so don’t worry about missing any of them. With Gordon Ramsay’s eponymous Pub and Grill and Portuguese celebrity chef Henrique Sá Pessoa’s Chiado both delivering special Christmas menus, you’re definitely in for a treat. This year, Galaxy Macau has put together a “Dream Bold, Play Big” festive campaign to celebrate the merriest time of the year. From now through January 7, the hotel is offering a myriad of Christmas-themed experiences including cosily decorated rooms, enchanting live performances and parades, scent-making workshops, and a warm welcome from a 20 metre tall Giant Santa installation by the East Square. Gastronomes can also head to its numerous restaurants and bars such as the Terrazza Italian Restaurant, the Café de Paris Monte-Carlo or The Macallan Whisky Bar & Lounge, which will all be featuring festive menus and special holiday offers.

Just like previous years, MGM Macao and MGM Cotai are going all-in on their gastronomic festive celebrations. At both Anytime and Pastry Bar, you’ll find limited-edition Fantasy Winter Delights pastries, which pair perfectly with their mulled wine, eggnog or their exotic bubble ginger milk tea. If you’re looking for something more savoury, the buffets at both Rossio and Coast are offering special Christmas items too, such as succulent roasted turkeys or abundant seafood platters, while their beloved Grill 58 is presenting festive brunch and dinner sets on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, available both for lunch or dinner. The menu includes everything from foie gras and truffles to caviar, and of course, wood-fired grilled meat options directly from Macau’s only custom-built Himalayan pink salt meat-aging room. The brunch goes for $488 and the six-course dinner menu is priced at $1,188.
